Introduction
theirlife.pet is an animal technology platform built to celebrate, protect, and support the lives of animals. Our community of creators, pet owners, breeders, veterinarians, and animal lovers shares a common purpose: improving the lives of animals through education, entertainment, and connection.
Safety comes first. These guidelines exist to ensure our platform remains a positive, trustworthy space for both the animals featured in content and the people who watch, create, and interact with it. Every user — viewer, creator, and commenter — is expected to follow these guidelines.
Prohibited Content
The following content is strictly prohibited on theirlife.pet. Uploading, streaming, or distributing any of the following will result in enforcement action up to and including immediate, permanent account termination.
Animal Cruelty, Abuse, or Neglect (Zero Tolerance)
Any content depicting, encouraging, or glorifying physical harm to animals, intentional distress, neglect, dangerous stunts involving animals, or staged “rescue” scenarios where animals are placed in danger for content purposes. This includes dogfighting, cockfighting, and any form of animal fighting. There are no warnings for this category — confirmed violations result in immediate, permanent termination and may be reported to law enforcement.
Harassment, Doxing, and Sharing Private Information
Content that targets, threatens, or intimidates individuals. This includes sharing private information (addresses, phone numbers, real names without consent), coordinated harassment campaigns, stalking, and creating content designed to humiliate or defame specific individuals.
Hate Speech
Content that promotes violence, discrimination, or hatred against individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or national origin. This includes slurs, dehumanizing language, and supremacist ideologies.
Spam and Misleading Content
Repetitive, deceptive, or manipulative content designed to artificially inflate engagement, mislead viewers, or exploit the platform's systems. This includes clickbait titles that misrepresent content, fake engagement schemes, and impersonating other creators or organizations.
Dangerous Misinformation About Animal Care
Content that promotes dangerous, unproven, or harmful practices regarding animal health, nutrition, or care. This includes advising viewers to avoid veterinary care, promoting toxic substances as treatments, and spreading false information about animal diseases that could lead to animal suffering or public health risks.
Sexually Explicit Content
Sexually explicit material involving humans. Educational content about animal reproduction and breeding is permitted when presented in a scientific or veterinary context.
Violence Against People
Content depicting, encouraging, or glorifying violence against people. This includes threats of violence, graphic depictions of real-world violence, and instructions for committing violent acts.
Encouraged Content
We celebrate and promote content that benefits the animal community:
- Educational content— training tutorials, breed-specific care guides, veterinary explanations, nutrition advice
- Entertaining content— day-in-the-life vlogs, funny animal moments, creative videos featuring animals
- Informative content— breed reviews, product reviews, facility tours, rescue and adoption stories
- Community content— breeder showcases, shelter spotlights, veterinary Q&As, event coverage
- Conservation content— wildlife rehabilitation, endangered species awareness, habitat preservation
Enforcement
We use a combination of automated systems, user reports, and human review to enforce these guidelines. When a violation is confirmed, we follow a graduated enforcement model:
First Strike: Warning
The violating content is removed and the creator receives a formal warning with an explanation of the policy violated. The strike is recorded on the account and expires after 90 days.
Second Strike: 7-Day Restriction
The violating content is removed. The creator's ability to upload, stream, and comment is suspended for 7 days. Existing content remains visible. The strike expires after 90 days.
Third Strike: Channel Termination
The creator's channel is permanently terminated. All content is removed. Any pending payouts are forfeited. The creator may not create new accounts.
Exception: Animal Cruelty
Confirmed animal cruelty bypasses the strike system entirely. A single confirmed incident of animal cruelty results in immediate, permanent channel termination with no possibility of appeal.
Creator Responsibility
Creators are solely responsible for the content they upload. The platform provides hosting and distribution tools but does not endorse or verify creator content. By uploading content, creators represent that they have the legal right to distribute it and that it complies with all applicable laws and these Community Guidelines.
Creators who feature other people or animals not owned by them are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent and release forms. Creators who provide animal care advice should clearly distinguish between personal experience and professional veterinary guidance.
Reporting Violations
If you see content that violates these guidelines, please report it using the flag icon available on any video, comment, or channel page. Reports are anonymous — the content creator will never know who reported their content.
When you report content, you will be asked to select a category and provide a brief description of the violation. For reports of animal cruelty, you can optionally provide additional details such as the location and date of the incident.
All reports are reviewed by our Trust & Safety team. Content reported for animal cruelty or harassment is immediately hidden from public view while under review.
